StyleQuery: Dressing for 3 Different Holiday Outings, Pt. 2 (#istyledvader)

I recently had a "friend" ask me for help picking outfits for 3 different holiday outings..including a movie premier. This friend, we'll call them DV, was stuck in a style rut. To help out, I put together some outfits for DV to try at a winter-time movie premier. Head back to Tuesday's post to see DV's after-work, office holiday party look. Keep scrolling to see how DV rocks a little, black dress.

DV is occasionally in the movie business and has SOME premier to attend...Star something or other. Not ready to step away from black,  I found something color-safe, but still different from DV's usual.

1. This black, velvet, midi-dress has a high-neck and geometric pattern that comes alive with a good camera flash. Best part about this was 50% off! The clutch, cape, gloves, and shoes brought everything together. Keeping it simple works too, if you're not not big on masks or gloves.

2. There's nothing wrong with the classics, and this LBD does the trick. BUT, there's always room to turn things up a notch. Try mixing things up with a unique pattern, length, or neckline. Cape is optional.

3. Remember, midi and body-con dresses fit everyone differently. I recommend trying this one on, or checking the size chart if you are shopping online!

How do you turn your LBD up a notch? Have you seen anything else DV would like? When are you seeing the movie? Let me know below! And remember...Tag a tauntaun! Repost for a Rebel! Share with a Sith Lord!
